Today, Mozart's authorship is regarded as dubious and the song is attributed to Johann Holzer (1753--1818). The lyrics were written by Paula von Preradović, one of the few women to have written lyrics for a national anthem. On 22 October 1946, it was declared Austria's official national anthem. On 1 January 2012, parts of the lyrics were changed to make the anthem gender-neutral. Before the World War II Anschluss, Austria's anthem was Sei gesegnet ohne Ende, to the tune of Haydn's Deutschlandlied. The same tune, with different words, was also the anthem of the Third Reich. To avoid the association, and because singing it was banned for a time after the war, a new anthem was created. ●▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩DEUTSCH۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬● Die Österreichische Bundeshymne, gesetzlich seit dem 1. Jänner 2012 in Kraft trat. Damit wurde die „geschlechtergerechte Änderung der Österreichischen Bundeshymne" gesetzlich festgelegt. Die Bundeshymne gilt wie die Fahne der Republik Österreich, das Bundeswappen und die österreichischen Hoheitszeichen als Staatssymbol. Wer sie „verächtlich macht oder sonst herabwürdigt", macht sich nach § 248 StGB der „Herabwürdigung des Staates und seiner Symbole" strafbar.

Today it is one of the most developed countries in the world, with beautiful architecture inherited from the time of the Habsburgs. If you consider spending your hollyday in Austria, you might check out these facts. More information about the video content bellow: 1. The croissant was invented in Austria. The Wiener Schnitzel is a typical Austrian main dish and the dessert "Strudel" or "Apfelstrudel" (filled with apple) was also created in Austria. 2. The world's largest emerald (2860 carat) is displayed in the Imperial Treasury of the Hofburg (Imperial Palace) in Vienna. It was commissioned by the Hapsburg king, Emperor Ferdinand III in 1641, and was carved out of a single large emerald crystal of Colombian origin. 3. Founded in 803 as Stiftskeller St. Peter in Salzburg, Haslauer is the world's oldest inn/restaurant still in operation, and the oldest company in Europe. 4. Austria has given the world many famous people, like the classical music composers: Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Liszt, J. Strauss, Mahler, and Bruckner, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, former Hollywood actor and governor of California, the father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, the founder of the German sports car company 'Porsche' was the Austrian Ferdinand Porsche, who also designed the Volkswagen, Christian Doppler, the scientist who discovered the “Doppler Effect”. 5. Austria’s flag is one of, if not the, oldest national banners in the world. In 1191, Duke Leopold V of Austria’s tunic became blood spattered and, upon removal of his wide sash, a white band was revealed. The red-white-red color combination was then adopted as his banner. 6. 62% of Austria's total land area is covered by the Austrian Alps. 7. The Habsburgs’ Winter Palace in the capital of Austria, Vienna, the Hofburg, has over 3,000 rooms and is bigger than the Louvre in Paris. It was over 600 years in the making because all the emperors had to build new wings for themselves. Today it houses 20 different museums. ------------------------------------------------ More info: http://www.did-you-knows.com/did-you-know-facts/countries.php http://www.eupedia.com/austria/trivia.shtml http://www.clarknorton.com/fifteen-things-i-didnt-know-about-vienna-austria/#.VU5U-pPXlx8 http://facts.randomhistory.com/austria-facts.html http://www.internetstones.com/emerald-unguentarium-in-the-imperial-treasury-vienna-2860-carats-schatzkammer.html Music: UncleBibby – Coulda Shoulda Buddha http://freemusicarchive.org Images: http://mapsof.net/map/austria-flag-map http://facts.randomhistory.com/austria-facts.html http://www.hoehenrainer.de/putenschnitzel-wiener-art/ http://www.baguette.at/produkte/suesses/bio-vom-berg-apfelstrudel/index.htm?no_cache=1 http://www.internetstones.com/emerald-unguentarium-in-the-imperial-treasury-vienna-2860-carats-schatzkammer.html http://www.giltravel.com/explore-the-world/tour/prague-vienna-and-budapest-tour-imperial-cities/ http://worldalldetails.com/Gallery/Austria/420-The_oldest_restaurant_in_the_world_-_Saint_Peter_restaurant_Stiftskeller.html http://torsional-vibration-symposium.com/program/social-and-cultural-program/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armida_%28Haydn%29 http://www.eurotravelogue.com/2012/12/Austrian-Christmas-Market-Tour.html http://www.musicaltoronto.org/2014/06/25/the-origins-of-the-canadian-national-anthem-revealed-in-mozart/ http://music.newcity.com/2014/02/03/dialogue-muti-on-schubert-and-the-band-chicago/ http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Strauss_%28figlio%29 http://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnold_Schwarzenegger http://www.ipedia.ro/sigmund-freud-1128/ http://www.vratislavice.cz/rodaci/ferdinand-porsche http://theandersoncollection.blogspot.ro/ http://vrenisviennadailyphoto.blogspot.ro/2010_04_01_archive.html http://outrageousestates.com/two-mountain-peaks-in-austrian-alps-for-just-175000/ http://miriadna.com/preview/tyrol-%28austrian-alps%29 https://ameliesayshola.wordpress.com/2012/05/29/semana-santa-series-part-14-does-the-sun-ever-shine-in-vienna/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hofburg_Palace
